Issue
The drainage gully that runs down the length of the Southgate Street is providing a useful route that can be followed by long cane users allowing them to avoid collisions with street furniture and people coming in and out of shops whilst also preventing them becoming lost in space.
Opportunity
Adding a similar feature, for example with guidance paving, to other open pedestrian areas, such as the area between Store Street and the Abbey would make them easier to navigate for long cane users.
